Graveside services for Berneita M. Immesoete, 97, of East Moline, IL, will be 4pm Tuesday at Zuma Cemetery, Zuma Township, IL. Visitation will be 1-3 pm Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Mrs Immesoete died Friday, May 14, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. Berneita Vroman was born March 11, 1924, in Henry County IL, the daughter of Eugene R. and Josie May (Egert) Vroman. She married Frederick "Freddy" Immesoete May 10, 1985, in East Moline. Berneita helped her folks run the Vroman Lemonade Stand for many years. She worked for several restaurants over the years including the Rustic Inn, Hillsdale, IL. She was an active member of the 8&40 and the East Moline American Legion Auxiliary, where she held several positions including president. Survivors include her sons, Fred Heeren, Dixon, MO, Ed Brooks (Gail Godat) Erie, IL, and Gene (Sharon) Brooks, Matherville, IL; stepdaughter, Suzanne, Mary Jane, Janetta, Pat, and Cathy; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Larry Heeren; and siblings, Alvin Vroman and Lucy Cronin. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family. A special thank you you her neighbors & friends including Dwayne, Shelva, Ella May, and everyone at Kindred at Home, Hospice Compassus, and all her caregivers for their excellent care and compassion.
