Funeral services for Bernice Fitzgerald, 90, of Rock Island, IL, will be 10:00 AM Saturday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Mrs. Fitzgerald died Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church. Bernice was born August 29, 1921 in Bismarck, ND, the daughter of Robert and Rose Sperger Patzner. She married Bartholomew Fitzgerald October 2, 1939 in Wilton, ND. He died July 17, 2006. Bernice was a Charter Member of the Catholic Daughters of America and member of Christ the King Catholic Church for many years. Survivors include her daughters, Carol Forsyth, Ashland, KY, Janice Anderson, Moline; son, Douglas (Geraldine) Fitzgerald, LaGrange, GA; grandchildren, Victor (Miki) Fitzgerald, James (Betty) Fitzgerald, Pamela (Dwain) Porter, and Matthew Forsyth; great-grandchildren, James T. Fitzgerald, Zorada, Ariel, and Chloe Porter. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Patricia Paramore, brother, Robert Patzner.
