Bernice Dupre Johnson, 77, East Moline, died Sunday July 25, 2010 at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport. A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday July 29, 2010 at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline from 4-6PM. Private committal is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Bernice was born on January 16, 1933, the daughter of Kamiel and Irma (Buysse) Dupre . She married Joseph Johnson on December 15, 1951. Bernice enjoyed fishing, and bowling. She was a member of the Women of the Moose. Survivors include her children and spouses; Deb and Pete VanDerSnick, Orion, David Johnson, Moline, Dennis and Sue Johnson, Port Byron, Daniel and Jane Johnson, Newton, IA, and Douglas Johnson, Cambridge, IL, six grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sister Darlene Painter and her brother Andrew DuPrey.
