Funeral services for Bernice M. Walter, 86, a resident of Amber Ridge, Moline, IL, formerly of Milan, IL, will be 1:00PM Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Rapids City Cemetery, Rapids City, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Walter died Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at Trinity, Rock Island. Bernice Jagodzinski was born May 14, 1928, in LaSalle, IL, the daughter of Joseph and Rose Stutzenski Jagodzinski. She married Peter Walter January 5, 1952, in LaSalle. He died April 15, 2003. She had worked at the former Westclox, Inc, LaSalle, IL. Survivors include her daughters, Jeannie (Rodger) Stroup, Omaha, NE, and Cheryl (Greg) Freund, Conifer, CO; son, Paul (Lisa) Walter, Taylor Ridge, IL; grandchildren, Matt (Patrice) Jett, Paul (Sara) Jett, Allison Freund, Zach Freund, Devan Walter, and Haley Walter; great grandchildren, Jacob and Olivia Jett.
