Funeral services for Bertha "Florence" Tone, 89, of Silvis, IL, will be 11:00AM Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd, East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be from 9 AM until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Tone died Wednesday, November 15, 2006 at Parkview Healthcare Center, East Moline. Memorials may be made to The First Christian church, East Moline or The Alzheimer's Association. Florence Bennett was born April 22, 1917 in Raymond, IL, the daughter of William F. and Bertha E. (Duff) Bennett. She married Ransom V. Tone December 10, 1938 in Granvile, IL. He died in 1992. She was a loving and giving person all her life. She was always ready to help anyone if there was a need of any kind. She loved her family and friends with all her heart, her 3 grandchildren were the light of her life. She had worked many different places of business and after retirement she helped her husband with his workshop making birdhouses and sharpening saws. She would attempt most anything. She loved sewing and quilting with her church group and traveling around the country. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Sandy Tone of Moline, IL; grandchildren and spouses, Ryan and Pam Tone, Renee and Jeff Meyer, Ragan and Kathie Tone; great grandchildren, Melissa, Tim, Haley, Julie, Ellie, and Chris; great great granddaughter, Aaliyah; sister, Wilma Plog of Norwalk, CA; brother and sister-in-law, LeRoy and Evelyn Bennett of Moline, IL.
