Bessie R. Talak, 94, formerly of Moline, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2016. Funeral services are 10 AM Wednesday at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Visitation is 5-7 PM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Memorials may be made to Christ the King, where she was a member. Bessie was born on February 17, 1922 in East Moline, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Hajek) Talak. She graduated from UTHS in 1940. Bessie retired from sales from Deere & Co. after 37years. She loved her family and was very proud to have traveled to all 50 states, Mexico, Canada, parts of Europe and the Caribbean. Survivors include nieces; Donna (Tom) Turpel and Carole (Ben) Malmberg, greats; Janelle (Paul) Parry, Jeff (Ava) Talak, and Darla (Scott) Bain and great-greats; Kayla Parry, Ashley Parry, Hunter Talak, Chelsea (Lyle) Smith, and Cody Bain. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, John, Anna and Frank and nephew James Talak.
