Obituary

Betty Jean Wesolowski, 93, of Silvis, IL, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Park Vista, East Moline, IL.

Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Rose Lawn Cemetery, Moline. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Betty was born January 7, 1930, in Moline, Illinois, a daughter of Harry and Margaret Eschman DePorter. She graduated from U.T.H.S., East Moline, Class of 1947. Betty and Herman B. Wesolowski were united in marriage on December 21, 1957, in East Moline. He preceded her in death on April 3, 1976.

Betty worked for Union Federal for many years. Prior to her marriage, she had worked at International Harvester.

She was a lifelong resident of Silvis. Lifetime member of P.T.A., and in earlier years, was active in Girl Scouts and served as a troop leader. Sewing was her passion.

Surviving are her daughters, Sherry (Tom) Miner, East Moline and Terry (Rick) Triebe, Rolling Meadows, IL; grandchildren, Jason Lanzen, Justin (Chelsea) Lanzen, Alec Triebe and Austin Triebe.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband; son, Gary Wesolowski and her parents.
