Funeral services for Betty J. Fulton, 84, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moline, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Fulton died Monday, February 13, 2012 at Mercer County Hospital, Aledo, IL. Memorials may be made to the family. Betty was born July 3, 1927 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Glen and Stella Roberts Coakley. She married Donald Fulton November 27, 1944 in Moline. He died in 1976. She retired from the East Moline American Legion were she had been a waitress for decades. She enjoyed bowling. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a sweetheart and everyone that knew her loved her. Survivors include her daughter, Diana (George) Houdyshell, Viola, IL; grandchildren, Helaine Weber, George (Colleen) Houdyshell Jr., Teresa Gaylord, Honey Mae Gaylord, and Elliot Gaylord; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
