Funeral services for Betty A. Grimes, 73, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00AM Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be on hour prior to services at the funeral home. Mrs. Grimes died Monday, October 29, 2007 at her home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Betty Lemon was born September 20, 1934 in Utica, MO, the daughter of Arthur Forrest and Hazel Marie (Cameron) Lemon. She married Oscar Eugene Grimes September 5, 1952 in Fallbrook, CA. He died December 24, 2003. She had worked as a waitress, then for Canteen Corporation for 19 years before retiring. She loved to camp, crochet, make quilts, read, and play cards. Survivors include: children and spouses; David Eugene and Andrea Grimes, Davenport, John Grimes and Tracy Gish of Davenport, Rebecca and Ron Bruce, Moline, Lisa Marie Harden, East Moline; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother Larry Dale Lemon of Lathrop, MO.
