Funeral services for Betty L. Harker, 89, East Moline, are 10:00 AM Friday at First Presbyterian Church, East Moline. Graveside services will be at 1:30 PM Friday at Parkview Cemetery, Peoria, IL . Visitation is 4-7PM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, where she was a member. Betty passed away Monday, January 10, 2011 at her home. Betty Wilson was born on May 26, 1921 in Peoria, the daughter of Duane and Mabel (Bell) Wilson. She married Art Harker on March 14, 1942 in Peoria. Betty had worked as a bookkeeper for the United Way. She was past president and active in the Trinity Medical Center Auxiliary. She was active in her church, serving as an elder, deacon and past president of the Presbyterian Women. Betty was also active in the Hattie Mitchell Circle of King's Daughters and belonged to the Literary Guild. She enjoyed playing cards and being with friends. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Art, daughters and sons-in-law; Suzanne and Don Turner of Fort Collins, CO, and Sally and Richard Abraham of East Moline, numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great and step-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a brother Robert and a grandson Michael.
