Funeral services for Betty Lou Roseman, 81, Silvis, are 2PM Saturday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-6 PM Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Roseman died Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis. Memorials may be made to Toys for Tots. Betty Lou Tappmeyer was born August 16, 1924 in Moline, the daughter of Herman and Elizabeth (Zora) Tappmeyer. She married John T. "Jack" Roseman, April 11, 1944 in South Carolina. In early years, Betty worked as a telephone operator for the former Illinois Bell. Betty bowled for many years on the Highland Early Birds bowling team and served as their Sunshine Girl. She belonged to many craft Clubs, loved to play bingo and was a member of the Afternoon Card Club. Betty loved going for rides in the car and enjoyed visiting with friends and family. Survivors include daughter JoAnn Whitcanack, Silvis, grandchildren and spouses Jennifer and Tom DeRosa, Silvis, and Jerrod and Kasey Cook, Plainfield, IL, and great grandchildren Matthew, Alexander, Evan and James DeRosa. Her husband of 59 years, Jack and son David precede her in death.
