Funeral services for Betty C. Stombaugh, 81, of Silvis, IL, will be 10:00 am Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd, East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Stombaugh died Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at Trinity Rock Island. Betty Willson was born April 9, 1935, in Brownstown, IL, the daughter of Ira and Cynthia Faye Estes Willson. She married Larry Stombaugh October 21, 1956, in Brownstown, IL. He died May 17, 2006. She was the matriarch of the family and everyone considered her their grandma. Betty's favorite color was pink and the family will be wearing pink to honor her life. Survivors include her daughter, Brenda (Danny) Motsinger, Colona, IL; son, Brian Stombaugh, East Moline; grandchildren, Michelle, Kristy, Eric, and Ashley; great grandchildren, Amber, Mellisa, Kelly, Gabby, Jesse, Summer, Braxton, Hayleigh, Cynthia, Hope, and Daisie; special friend, Laura Whitmarsh-Fraga; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Wayne, Eileen, and Normalee. In lieu of flowers and gifts memorials may be made to the family.
