Betty J. Ward, 85, East Moline, passed away on January 5, 2018 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. At Betty's request her body has been cremated and she will be buried next to her late husband at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Betty was born on November 12, 1932 in Hooppole, IL, the daughter of Charles and Verda Hatten. She married David L. Ward on May 28, 1953 in Rock Island County. He died in 1974. Betty worked for the former State Bank of East Moline and Metrobank as a teller and computer operator. Survivors include her son, Scott (Dianna) Ward, East Moline, grandsons, Jimmy Thompson and Kevin Thompson, great granddaughter, Emmy, special friends, Shirley and Audrey and daughter-in-law Toni Ward, Silvis. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bob Hatten, and her son Randy Ward.
