Funeral services for Beverly "Bev" Giovenazzo, 91, of East Moline, IL, will be 11:30 AM Monday, March 4, 2024, at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Visitation will be 10 AM-11 AM at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 9:30AM. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Mrs. Giovenazzo passed away, Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA.

Bev Zanter was born March 2, 1932, in La Crosse, WI, the daughter of John and Irene Mehren Zanter. She married James M. Giovenazzo August 30, 1952, in La Crosse. He passed away March 7, 1970. She retired as a medical assistant for Dr. Kleinschmidt, after 18 ½ years of service. She was an animal lover. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. Bev was a woman of deep faith. She loved her church and her church family and close friends.

Survivors include her daughters, Judy Trout, Rock Island, IL, and Patti (Bob) DeBlaey, Rapids City, IL; 5 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; her sister, Mary Jane Sheehan, Rockford, IL.; and her special friend, Coco Vallejo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Thomas Giovenazzo; granddaughter, Heather Rene Stanger; son-in-law, James Trout; and her siblings, John Zanter and Ruth Kabat.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the Rock Island County Animal Care & Control, St. Anne Catholic Church, or Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House.
