Beverly J. Lubbe, 87, of East Moline, IL, passed away Friday, December 24, 2022 at Park Vista, East Moline.

A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 30, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan, IL.

Beverly was born December 31, 1934 in Ottumwa, Iowa, a daughter of Floyd and Zoe E. Manson Rankin. She was previously married John A. Lubbe, Jr. for 21 years. He preceded her in death in 1999.

Following graduating high school in 1952, Beverly worked at Union Bank, Ottumwa, to earn money for nursing school. She received her Registered Nursing degree from St. Joseph Hospital, School of Nursing, Ottumwa, in 1957. During her career Beverly worked at St. Joseph Hospital, VA Hospital in Iowa City, IA, Moline Public Hospital, Moline, IL, and retired from Illini Hospital, Silvis, IL, following 32 years of service. She touched many lives with her nursing skills, kindness and care.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, East Moline, where she had served as a church elder, deacon, and was involved with numerous committees. Beverly was a woman of many talents including sewing, crocheting and knitting. She enjoyed taking care of her pet dogs and tending to her home, where she could fix or repair anything.

Surviving are her daughter, Paula Lubbe, Las Vegas, NV; brother, Charles "Bill" Rankin, San Diego, CA; and sister, Barbara "Bobbie" Newman, Elwood, IL; and other family.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; former husband, and sons, Charles "Chuck" Lubbe and James "Jimmy" Lubbe.
