Blanche M. Studeny, 95, formerly of Moline, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014 at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis. Funeral services are 11 AM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-6 PM Sunday (Today) and 1 hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association. Blanche Machu was born on April 21, 1919 in East Moline, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Havel) Machu. She married John Studeny on October 2, 1937 in Davenport, IA. After John's retirement the couple moved to Florida for 10 years. She loved going to Disney World. He preceded her in death on January 10, 1985. Blanche enjoyed traveling, playing bingo, and doing needlework. She was an excellent baker and a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Mary and Melvin Schroeder, Silvis, granddaughters, Dr. Laura Schroeder, Phoenix, AZ, and Linda (Steve) Andry, Eldridge, IA, great-grandchildren, Ben Andry, Emily Andry, Bryce Andry and Bailey Andry and her sister, Mildred Wray, Silvis. She was preceded in death by her husband and brothers, Jim, Frank and Joe. The family would like to thank everyone at Illini Restorative Care for the support and care given to Blanche for the past 11 years.
