Bobby J. Sands, 77, of East Moline, IL, died Thursday, March 17, 2016, at UnityPoint, Rock Island. There will be no services. Bobby was born February 2, 1939, in Wytheville, VA, the son of Roy and Ellen Moles Sands. He married Lola "Kate" (Swain) Mewes December 31, 2013, in Rock Island, IL. He had worked as a truck driver locally. Survivors include his wife, Kate Sands, East Moline; son, Donald (Pam) Sands, Valparaiso, IN; several step children and step grandchildren.
