Funeral services for Bonita M. Robertson, 88, of Moline, IL, will be 10:00AM Monday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 2:00-5:00PM Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Robertson died Friday, July 30, 2010 at her home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Bonita Diehl was born July 23, 1922 in Marion, IN, the daughter of Marion Garth and Fay Ruth Pownell Diehl. She married Marvin Robertson March 27, 1942 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. She had been a homemaker. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed doing crafts and crocheting. She and her husband were well-known in the neighborhood to help out when anyone was in need. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Marvin Robertson of Moline; daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and Jack Resch of Moline, Diana and Brian Lovett of Moline; grandchildren (spouse), Cheryl (Ken) Ricca, Jackie Resch, Bill (Kerri) Resch, Wanda Resch (Jeff O'Brien); 6 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Johnson of Essex, IA; several nieces and nephews.
