Funeral services for Bouavanh Phanhlathy, 65, of Rock Island, IL, will be 1:30 PM Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 11:00AM until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Bo Phanhlathy died Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Trinity Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family. Bouavanh was born November 14, 1947 in Laos the son of Phanh and Kong Phanhlathy . He married Khamnang Bousy in 1978 in Thailand. He had worked at Custom Pak, Clinton, IA. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and working on cars. He loved his friends and family. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Khamnang Phanhlathy, Rock Island; children, Khemphet Phanhlathy and Somchanh Phanhlathy, both of Rock Island; 2 grandchildren; siblings, Lee Thyravong, Storm Lake, IA, Vanh Thyravong, Cresent City, FL, and Thai Keobapha, Storm Lake, IA.
