Funeral services for Bradley "Brad" J. Speer, 46, of Moline, IL, will be 10:00AM Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00PM Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Speer died Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at his home. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family. Brad was born July 13, 1962 in Moline, the son of Donald and Barbara (Anspach) Speer. He married Wendy Claussen September 18, 1993 in East Moline. He had been the Parts Manager at Kimberly Car City, Davenport, IA. Brad was a loving husband and father. His family was the most important part of his life. He was an avid woodworker and had been a Port Byron Volunteer Fireman. Survivors include: his wife, Wendy Speer of Moline; children, Alan, Kyle, and Joshua Speer all at home; mother, Barbara Speer of Port Byron, IL; grandmother, Lucile Corelius of Erie, IL; sisters and brothers-in-law, Peggy and Wayne Lieving of Milan, IL, Lisa and Tony Lewis of Arlington, TX, Suzie and Steve LaGrant of Delhi, IA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Doug and Susan Speer of Fort Worth, TX, Scott and Ruth Speer of Port Byron; several nieces and nephews.
