Brian E. Goethals, 56, of Hampton, IL, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023, at his home.

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 19, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Interment will be private at St. John's Cemetery, Rapids City, IL.

Brian was born December 12, 1966, in Silvis, IL, a son of Edmond and Linda Lamb Goethals. He graduated from Riverdale High School.

He was a welder for many years for McLaughlin Body Company.

Brian will be fondly remembered for his kind-heartedness and helpfulness to all. He was an avid sports fan and loved hot rods. Some of his favorite times were those spent with friends and family. He was an avid collector of hot wheels and music.

Surviving are his father, Edmond, of East Moline; sister, Lisa Blair, Silvis; and nephew, Jacob Blair, Bettendorf, IA.

Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Linda.
