Brian H. Kapple, 65, of East Moline, IL, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2022, surrounded by his family.

A celebration of Brian's life will be 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, November 13, at The Palace, 701 15th Ave., East Moline. Van Hoe Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Brian was born January 11, 1957 in Moline, Illinois, the son of Howard and Shirley Ott Kapple. Brian graduated from Moline High School, Class of 1974. He married Kim Cutler on August 29, 1975 in Mountain Home, Idaho.

Brian was the owner of Brian's Appliance Medic before retiring in 2019.

Brian loved the outdoors; hiking, canoeing, and camping, especially with his brother, Steve.

Brian served as Lieutenant Colonel in Civil Air Patrol and as Lieutenant Colonel in Military Explorers.

Brian is survived by his wife, Kim, of East Moline; daughters, Erin (Jay) Thukkaram, Naperville, IL, and Kelly (Colin) Scott, Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Elsa and Soren Thukkaram; sister, Dr. Susan Streiff, Glenview, IL; and brother, Steve (Katie Joshu) Kapple, Rochester, IL. Brian was preceded in death by his parents.
