Funeral services for Bruce A. Ketner, 79, of Silvis, IL, will be 11 AM Friday, October 27, 2023, at the Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 4-6 PM Thursday, October 26, 2023, at the funeral home. Mr. Ketner passed away Monday, October 23, 2023, at his home.

Bruce was born May 20, 1944, in Moline, IL, the son of Clarence and Vivian Merritt Ketner. He married Sheila Jackson. He later married Janet "Jan" Loding December 2, 1978, in Silvis. He retired from the former ALCOA in 2006, after 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and working outside in his award winning garden. He was an Oklahoma Sooners and a Chicago Bears fan.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Jan Ketner, Silvis; children, Brian (Sue) Ketner, Silvis, Jeff (Shelley) Ketner, Silvis, and Jeanine Donley (Mike Hawkes), Silvis; grandchildren, Luke Ketner, Jacob Ketner, Gregory Donley (fiancee, Andrea Irvine), Caitey Ketner, Nick Ketner, and Alaina Ketner; and brother, Blaine (Joyce) Ketner, Moline, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
