Funeral services for Burdette Eugene Harker, 82, of Hampton, IL, will be 10:00 am Friday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery, Moline, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Harker died Sunday, January 10, 2016 at Illini Restorative Care Center, Silvis, IL. Burdette was born June 14, 1933, in Moline, IL, the son of Fred and Opal Enderton Harker. He worked for Fabri Glass, Moline, and Frank Foundry, Moline. He was a life long fisherman. He enjoyed crappie fishing in Wisconsin, Illinois, and at his other home in Missouri. Survivors include his sister, Jeanette Harker, Golden, CO; many nieces and nephews; ex sister-in-law, Betty Harker, Hampton. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Freddie and Jerry Harker. Memorials may be made to the Hampton Fire Department. The family would like to thank Genesis Medical Center, Silvis, Illini Restorative Care Center, and the Hampton Fire Department for their exceptional care.
