Camiel J. "Babe" DeCapp, 90, of Vallejo, California died on Friday, April 24, 2009 in Vallejo. Private inurnment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline, IL. Camiel was born December 20, 1918 in Silvis, IL the youngest son of Stephan and Mary (Vercaigne) DeCapp. He attended St. Mary's Grade School and graduated from United Township High School. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II. He married Eva Maki in 1967, she died in August, 1992. He retired from Mare Island Naval Shipyard as a foreman in submarine manufacturing. Camiel is survived by his sister-in-law Agatha DeCapp, Silvis and his niece, Mary Kay Wilson, Coal Valley, IL. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and his brothers, William and Albert.
