Funeral services for Carl R. Goday, 84, of Silvis, IL, will be 10:00AM Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Wednesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 3:30PM. Mr. Goday died Sunday, April 8, 2012 at his home. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Carl was born January 14, 1928 in Moline, IL, the son of Carl and Emma DeClercq Goday. In his earlier years Carl had worked for various restaurants including The Plantation. He retired from Walgreens Drug Store, Moline, after 30 years of service. He had been an active member of the Silvis Senior Citizens and Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, where he had held several positions in the Blessed Fr. Pro Men's Club. Survivors include nieces and nephews, Diana Dale, Colona, IL, Robert (Michelle) Dale, Colona, Charles (Nancy) Dale, Colona, Patti (Tom) Ketelsen, East Moline, Debra (Jimmy) Donald, Willis, TX, William (Patty) Dale, Milan, Marianne (Mike) Bailey, Moseley, VA, Mike Dale, Colona, Richard Dale, Elgin, Il, Joette Hula, Imperial, MO, Linda Busey, Springfield, IL, Steve Busey, Springfield, and Kathy Busey Jacksonville, IL; many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
