Carl E. Morlan Jr. 41, of Davenport, IA, died Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Genesis East, Davenport. Visitation will be 2:00-5:00 Sunday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family. Carl was born May 9, 1971 in Charlotte, NC, the son of Carl "Gene" and Martha Lowery Morlan Sr. He married Lisa Neels August 3, 2001 in Davenport, IA. For several years he had been a self employed general contractor and lately had been a forklift operator at local warehouses. He was a loving son, husband, father, and uncle. He enjoyed fishing, tattooing, and horsing around with kids. Survivors include his wife, Lisa Morlan, Davenport; children, Brittanie Eakins, Omaha, NE, Seth Morlan and Emma Morlan, Davenport; stepchildren, Cody and Alex Bryant, Davenport; father, Gene Morlan Sr., Davenport; mother (stepfather), Martha (Garry) Norin, Moline; sisters, Rhonda (David) Kronfeld, and Angela (Rodney) Senter, both of Davenport; mother-in-law, Sue Neels, East Moline; sister-in-law, Cathy (Matt) Parker, Moline; brother-in-law, Tommy Neels, East Moline; several nieces and nephews; and all of his extended families.
