Funeral services for Carlos Dominguez, 80, East Moline, are 1 PM Saturday, February 11, 2006 at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Following service private committal will take place. Visitation is noon until service time at the church. Carlos died Saturday, February 4, 2006 at Trinity Regional Health Systems, Rock Island. A memorial fund has been established. Carlos was born October 15, 1925 in Guadalajara, Mexico, the son of Leon and Margarita (Gonzalez) Dominguez. He married Maria Guadalupe Galvan. She died May 5, 1994. He had worked most of his life as an upholsterer, most recently at Ann's Upholstery, East Moline. Carlos had a love for the game of soccer and coached the Seleccion Mexicana for many years. He enjoyed cooking, dancing and morning coffee at the Quad Cities USA Restaurant. Survivors include: son, Carlos, Guadalajara, Mexico; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; special friend, Anna Montecino and family; good friends, Ingrid Redecker, Bettendorf, and Pedro and Ofelia Valladares, Moline, and many other friends.
