Carlos G. Duarte Jr., 42, Sylmar, CA, formerly of the Quad Cities, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Unity Point Trinity, Rock Island. Funeral services are 10 AM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7 PM Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.

Carlos was born on October 14, 1979 in Burbank, CA, the son of Carlos and Silvia (Rangel) Duarte. He graduated from Moline High School, class of 1997 and received an associates degree from Black Hawk College, Moline. Carlos was a Services Coordinator at Cubic Transportation, Norwalk, CA. He was a Chicago Bears and a LA Dodger Fan. Carlos enjoyed collecting Ninja Turtle memorabilia, listening to music, traveling and watching Marvel Movies. Carlos loved his family and his faith.

Survivors include his sister, Marlene, Duarte, Sylmar, fiancee, Lisette Vera, half siblings, Yeymi Duarte, Ca, Jeydi Carrera, NV, and Tono Duarte, Guatemala, father, Carlos Sr., and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, best friends and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Silvia.
