Funeral services for Carmen Dergo, 69, of Colona, IL, will be 10:00AM Wednesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Colona. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00PM Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 6:45PM. Mrs Dergo died Friday, December 30, 2011 at her home. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church or Quad City Animal Welfare Center, Milan, IL. Carmen Guerrero was born February 16, 1942 in East Moline, IL, the daughter of Arnold and Joanne Amesquita Guerrero. She married Peter Dergo August 4, 1990 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Colona. He died May 12, 1995. She retired from Illini Hospital in 1990. Survivors include her sisters, Mary Ashcraft, Geneseo, IL, Delores (Frank) Ziegler, Hampton; brothers, Albert Guerrero, East Moline, Sarge Guerrero, East Moline, Ruben Guerrero, Moline; special friends, Marilyn Siebert, Colona and Judy Richardson, Colona; her special canine buddies, "Sammy and Cooper." She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Lucy Gonzales and Cora Roden, brother, Paul Guerrero, her dogs, Duke I and Duke II.
