Funeral services for Carmen M. Rasso, 86, East Moline, are 10 AM Friday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 6 PM. Memorials may be made to the church where she was a member or to the Diabetes Association or the Heart Fund. Mrs. Rasso died Monday, July 11, 2005 at Genesis Medical Center-Illini Campus, Silvis. Carmen Ramirez was born July 16, 1918 in Irapuato, GTO Mexico, the only daughter of Merced and Amada Ramirez. She married Joseph N. "Phillip" Rasso, in Irapuato. Carmen was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a fantastic cook and was very talented and versatile. Craft work, needlepoint, crocheting, sewing and flower gardening are just a sampling of her many skills. Survivors include her children and their spouses; Alfredo Rasso, East Moline, Maria Beserra, Orion, Rudolph Rasso, Silvis, Alice (Leonard) Lopez, Moline, George (Teresa) Rasso, East Moline, Linda (Steven) Martinez, Hampton, Antonio (Christina) Rasso, Silvis, Lawrence (Janelle) Rasso, Hampton, Mark Rasso, Rock Island and Vincent Rasso, Peoria, eighteen grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter. Her husband preceded her in death November 12, 1999.
