Carol A. Christensen, 78, East Moline, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis. Funeral services are 11 AM Thursday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 AM until service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family. Carol Anderson was born on April 1, 1939 in Kirkwood, IL, the daughter of Raymond and Ruth (Meadows) Anderson. She married William Christensen Jr., on September 10, 1960 in East Moline. He died on June 20, 2013.

She worked at the seafood counter at the former Eagle Grocery Store. Carol loved her 3 boys and all the grand and great-grandchildren. She found great enjoyment in her flower garden. Survivors include her sons, Raymond Christensen (Fabiola), Port Byron, Rodney (Katherine) Christensen, Silvis and Russell (Susan) Christensen, East Moline, eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and her sister, Shirley Oakleaf, Moline. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and sister Nancy Nelson.
