Funeral services for Carol McCabe Schubert, 58, of East Moline, IL, will be 10:00 AM Friday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Visitation will be 5:00-9:00 PM Thursday (today) at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a liturgy service will be held at 8:00 PM. Mrs. Schubert died Monday, May 28, 2007 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI). Carol McCabe was born February 1, 1949 in Burlington, IA, the daughter of Donald and Mary (Gotto) McCabe. She married Michael Schubert October 18, 1980 at St. Clement Catholic Church, Chicago, IL. She had worked as a secretary at Hill and Knowlton, Chicago, IL. She had been active at St. Clement and the League of Women Voters during the 1980's. She was very devoted to her family, especially her son. Survivors include: son, Martin Schubert of El Segundo, CA; mother, Mary McCabe of East Moline, IL; sisters and brother-in-law, Linda McCabe of Oak Brook, IL, Joyce and Barry Engelmann of Davenport, IA; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Linda McCabe of Wheeling, IL.
