Carol (Calsyn) Stottler, 51, of Silvis, IL, died Friday, September 13, 2013 at Aspen Health Care Center, Silvis, after a 2 year battle with cancer. A memorial visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 Tuesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL, where a time of sharing will begin at 6:30PM. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to the family. Carol Calsyn was born December 23, 1961 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Raymond and Nancy Van Opdorp Calsyn. She was a graduate of UTHS Class of 1980. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren, especially when they went fishing and going to the stockcar races to watch her son-in-law, win. She was an avid 49ers fan. Survivors include her daughters, Michelle (Greg) Durbin, Silvis, and Ashley Durbin, East Moline; son, Michael Stottler, East Moline; grandchildren, Lexy, Brooke, Gavin, and June Durbin; parents, Raymond and Nancy Calsyn, East Moline; sisters, Tammy (Joel) Garrison, Holiday, FL, and Ann (John) Bull, East Moline; brothers, Ray Calsyn Jr., Mineral, IL, and Michael (Sue) Calsyn, Silvis.
