Carolyn B. Burch, 95, of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Quartet Senior Living, Bettendorf.

Graveside memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 10, at Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, IL. Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, IL, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Carolyn was born February 10, 1927, in Mt. Carroll, IL, a daughter of William and Bessie Sisler Berkstresser. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1950 from Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Carolyn married Albert H. Burch on August 28, 1952 in Sterling, IL. He preceded her in death on May 13, 2001.

She taught 3rd grade at Central School in Sterling for a few years and continued as a substitute music teacher for several more. Additionally, she taught piano in her home. Carolyn will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing piano, cooking, raising her family and caring for her beloved pet cats, "Biffy" and "Smoky".

Surviving are her son, Tom Burch, Moline, IL; daughter, Alene Burch, Corpus Christi, TX; granddaughter, Hannah deBlois, and her husband, Nicholas, Des Moines, IA; and many nieces, nephews, and other family.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sister, Jane Weissmiller.
