Carolyn A. Wasson, 88, of East Moline, IL, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Generations of Rock Island. Services will be held at a later date.

Carolyn was born May 18, 1934, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Edmond and Alice Cresswell Mabie. She married Thurman Wasson in 1954. She was employed at the Dispatch Argus for 47 years, retiring in 2008. She was a member of the Moline Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Survivors include her sister, Pearl Johnston; nieces and nephews, Greg and Barb Ackerland, Scott and Jamie Ackerland, Sue Niner, Brett Ackerland, and Matthew and Amanda Johnston.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
