Funeral services for Carroll N. Lynn, 93, East Moline, are 10 AM Wednesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial is in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline, where the East Moline American Legion Post 227 will conduct Military Honors. Visitation will be 5-7 PM (today) at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Mr. Lynn died Sunday, April 15, 2007 at Rosewood Care Center, Moline. Memorials may be made to St. Anne Church. Carroll was born December 29, 1913 in Pleasant Plain, Iowa, the son of Raymond and Mary (Ward) Lynn. He served in the US Army during WWII. He married Mary Alice Wanneyn on November 17, 1945 in East Moline. She died November 17, 1987. He married Joyce Eisentrager October 8, 1989. She died in July of 1993. Carroll retired as a carpenter from C. H. Langman and Son, Rock Island. He enjoyed playing cards and going to senior dances. He was a member of the East Moline American Legion Post 227, East Moline AMVETS and the VFW 1303, Rock Island. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Laurie and Ken Hanson, East Moline, and a grandson Joshua Hanson, East Moline. Three sisters and a brother also precede him in death.
