Funeral services for Catharine A. Papish, 58, of Geneseo, IL, will be 11:30 am Friday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline, IL. Interment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, East Moline. A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm Thursday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Mrs. Papish died Saturday, November 26, 2016, as a result of an automobile accident in Richmond, KY. Catharine Avila was born September 30, 1958, in Ardmore, OK, the daughter of Orris and Diana Behr Avila. She married Vincent Papish Jr. January 2, 1993, in Moline, IL. Catharine was a Regional Administrative Assistant for the Helen Keller National Center. Survivors include her husband, Vincent Papish Jr., Geneseo; daughter, Trinity (Aaron) Logan, Mills River, NC; son, Dustin Hancks , Salt Lake City, UT; grandchildren, Anthony Little, Tatiana Logan, Max, Hope and Lexi Papish; Vincent's children, Melissa (Charlie) Manis, Moline, and Damian (Krista) Papish, Davenport; her siblings, Gary Avila, Davenport, IA, Karen Avila (Reed Svenson), Blue Grass, IA, Bruce (Jane) Avila, Killeen, TX, Danette (Eugene) McCallister, MO, PeeWee (Teresa) Avila, Davenport, Vince Avila, Davenport, Cynthia Kuehl, Davenport, Matthew Avila Sr. (Dora Kale) Blue Grass, and Andrew Avila, VA; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Noah. In lieu of gifts and flowers, memorials may be made to St. Anne Catholic Church.
