Funeral services for Catherine E. "Katie" Bein, 86, of Silvis, IL, will be 9:00 AM Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Silvis, IL. Burial will be in Holy Family Cemetery, Davenport, IA. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM Friday (today) at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL, where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. Katie died Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at Aspen Rehab and Heath Care, Silvis, IL. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church or Quad City Right to Life. Catherine Hueser was born November 10, 1919 in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Stephan and Theresa (Boeckman) Hueser. She married Vernon L. "Red" Bein, January 12, 1946 in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Davenport, IA. She and her husband co-owned Silvis Auto Wreckers until their retirement in 1972.She was a member of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, VFW Auxiliary, Silvis Optimist, Silvis Women's Club, Retired Silvis Senior Citizens and the Rock Island Moose. Survivors include: daughters and son-in-law, Linda and Charles Tillman of Union Grove, Alabama, Marilyn Harper of Snellsville, Georgia, Mary Bein of Silvis, IL; sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Cathy Bein of Silvis, IL, Vernon and Marla "Kim" Bein of Coal Valley, IL; step-daughters and son-in-law, Mary Alice Kirkhove of Kewanee, IL, Rose and James Rasmussen of Kewanee, IL; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Ash of Davenport, IA, Rosemary and Ralph Ehlers of Davenport, IA, Joan Gruenwald of Davenport, IA, Theresa and Kenneth Guy, Davenport, IA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Dorothy Hueser of Davenport, IA, Joseph and Marge Hueser of Davenport, IA; sister-in-law, Joyce Hueser of Davenport, IA.
