Catherine Irene Edwards, 88, East Moline, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at St. Anthony's Continuing Care, Rock Island. At her request, her body will be cremated and there will be no services. Catherine was born on April 17, 1925 in Savannah, IL, the daughter of Charles and Amelia (VanBuer) Peat. She married Jack Edwards and together they had two sons. She had worked at the former LeClaire Hotel in Moline and later as a bartender at Ben's Gourmet House in Rock Island. Survivors include her sons, Jon (Regina) Edwards, Hillsdale and Van (Rhonda) Edwards, Grand Junction, CO, five grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, sister Carol Crosby, East Moline, a niece a great niece and 2 great-great nephews.
