Cathleen E. Leathers, 97, East Moline, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline. Memorial services are 11 AM Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Interment will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is from 10 AM until service time. Memorials may be made to Hope Creek Activity Fund. Cathleen was born July 3, 1921 in Delta, IA, a daughter of Fred and Rosmond (Stephenson) Stout. She graduated from Delta High School, and married Wilford Leathers on April 22, 1938 in Lancaster, MO. He died November 17, 1988. Cathleen was a life long homemaker and enjoyed flowers of all kinds. She loved visiting friends and family, especially her 13 grandkids, 20 great grandkids and 14 great-great grandkids. She was a former member of the Red Hat Society. Mrs. Leathers is survived by 2 sons; Denny (Kathy) Leathers, Coal Valley and Larry Leathers, Keithsburg, niece Sherry , nephew, Terry and special friends, Joyce and Jim Lenth. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, daughter, Sharon, grandchildren, Sandy Cabor, Donnie Cabor and Shelly Leathers, brother, LeVerne Stout. The family would like to thanks the employees and nurses of Hope Creek for their care and compassion.
