Funeral services for Charles L Allmendinger, 75, East Moline, are 10 AM Tuesday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Moline Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is 3-7 PM Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Mr. Allmendinger died Friday, April 14, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island. He was born December 21, 1930 in Moline, the son of Charles P and Lillian (Thomas) Allmendinger. He married Phyllis E Ryker, March 8, 1951 in Moline. Charles was a union carpenter with local 166 for over 33 years. He served as an East Moline alderman for 16 years. He was a member of the Milan Gun Club and IPA. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Phyllis, sons and daughters-in-law Mark and Pam, East Moline, Steven and Cheryl, Moline, Paul and Carolyn, Silvis and Brent and Carol, East Moline, grandchildren (and spouse) Jamie, Rebecca, Ashley, Michelle, Kristine (Christopher), Evan, Andrew, Cara and Ian, and a sister Virginia Kirkpatrick, of Texas. His parents, sister Wuanita Zissas and grandson Justin precede him in death.
