Memorial services for Charles A. "Chuck" Asp, 90 of East Moline, IL, will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Elim Covenant Church, Moline. Entombment will be in Moline Memorial Park Mausoleum, Moline, IL. Mr. Asp died Saturday, July 16, 2005 at Rosewood Heath Care Center Moline, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wegener's Granulomatosis Association P.O. Box 28660 Kansas City, MO 64188 or Elim Covenant Church Moline, IL. Mr. Asp was born January 12, 1915 in Moline, IL, the son of Henry and Elsie (Dittman) Asp. He married Eleanor Carlson, July 30, 1937 in Clinton, IA. He had worked as a tool and die maker for Reynolds Engineering Rock Island, IL and retired as a Plant Superintendent for Haumiller Engineering Co., Elgin, IL, in 1983. He was a member of the NRA, KAABA Shrine, Davenport, IA and for 47 years he had been a member of the Ancient Free & Accepted Mason Moline Lodge No. 1014. Survivors include: his wife of 67 years, Eleanor Asp of East Moline, IL; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Cletus Janusick of Jerico Springs, MO; son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Judy Asp of Galena, IL; grandchildren and spouse, Janna Asp of Liberty, MO, C.J. and Karisa Asp of Dubuque, IA; great-grandson, Cody Asp of Dubuque, IA. He is preceded in death by his parents.
