Graveside services for Charles V. "Chuck" Brandon, 92, of Davenport, IA, formerly of East Moline, IL, will be 1:00 pm Thursday at Roselawn Memorial Estate, Moline, IL. Mr. Brandon died Monday, August 22, 2016, at Manor Care, Davenport. Chuck was born October 9, 1923, in Russell, IA, the son of Vernon and Nora Phillips Brandon. He served in the US Army during WWII. He married Delores McFarland January 25, 1948, in Davenport. She died June 8, 2008. He retired from the former International Harvester Works, East Moline, in 1981, after 35 years of service. Survivors include his daughters, Verna (Jim) Petersen, Davenport, and Donna (Jim) Meade, Bettendorf, IA; grandchildren, Carrie (Duane) Brower, Shawna (Mark) Smith, Charles (Skylar) Petersen, and Jenni (Jeff) Berry; great grandchildren, Leiana, Enrico, Logan, Hailey, Jacob, Payton, Kinnlie, Lainey, Taylor, Madison, Justin, Jammie, and Jessica; great great grandchildren; Mackenzie, Norah, Jace, and Liam. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Margaret Short; brothers, Robert and Donald Brandon. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice.
