Funeral services for Charles P. "Bud" Canfield, 78, of Moline, IL, will be 10:00 am Thursday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 pm Wednesday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial will be in Rock Island National Cemetery. Mr. Canfield died Friday, July 22, 2016, at Trinity Rock Island. Bud was born May 17, 1938, in Moline, IL, the son of Charles P. and Corine Schulte Canfield. He served in the US Marine Corp. He married Karen Smartsy July 3, 1965 in Davenport, IA. He later married JoAnn Sanders, November 11, 2015. For 30 years, Bud owned and operated one of the Quad Cities landmark family businesses, Bud's Skyline Inn. Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Canfield, Moline; children, Brian Canfield, Moline, Audie Canfield, Moline, Tess (Matt) Hurt, East Moline, Tracey Denato, Coal Valley, IL, and Tami (Kirk) Minard, East Dubuque, IL; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Leota Reich, Festus, MO; several loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Sr. Marie Canfield, Doris Gamel, Ruth Ann Gant, and Bonnie Mohr; and brother, John Canfield.
