Charles L. DeCap, 86, East Moline, died Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Genesis Medical Center-Illini Campus, Silvis. Funeral services are 11 AM Friday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline. Burial is in Erie Cemetery, Erie, IL. Visitation is 1 hour prior to services. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. Charles was born November 10, 1925 in East Moline, the son of Louis and Irma (DeBlieck) DeCap. He retired in 1977 from John Deere Harvester as a designer. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Charles was a member of the Rock Island Family Campers and the Quad City Sky Raiders. Survivors include nieces, Beth Patton, and Marcia Minick nephews, Robert Hall and Kenneth DeBlieck and the breakfast group at Hardee's, East Moline. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Ruby Hall, half-brother Francis DeBlieck and nephews Greg and Jim DeBlieck.
