Obituary

Charles E. Naert, 64, Carbon Cliff, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at his home. Funeral services are 10 AM Tuesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, East Moline. Burial is in Rock Island National Cemetery, with military honors. Visitation is 4-7PM Monday at Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, where a rosary will be recited at 4PM. A memorial fund has been established. He was born on September 9, 1948 in Moline, the son of Charles L. and Virginia Dappen Naert. He married Pam Soucinek on November 2, 1968 at St. Anne Church. Chuck retired in March of 2012 after many years in sales and delivery for Valley Beverage and Stern Beverage. He was an avid and skilled Rolle Bolle player. He enjoyed his membership to the East Moline Hand in Hand Bolders Club and the East End Bolders Club, Moline. He was a Sergeant in the US Army while fighting in the Vietnam War. Survivors include his wife Pam, children (spouses), Lori (Kurt) Kessel, Melbourne, FL and Shane (Tori) Naert, Moline, grandsons Connor, Max and Colby, sister Joan Emerick, Geneseo and brother Larry (Kathy) Naert, Las Vegas, NV. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Nancy.
