Charles R. "Charlie" Fluegel, 39, of Rock Island, IL, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024 in Rock Island.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 5th, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline, IL. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 4th, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family or to ARC of the Quad-Cities.

Charles was born July 14, 1985, in Peoria, Illinois, He was adopted and raised by Justina "Gussie" Myetich Fluegel. Following Justina's death in 2002, he was adopted by his sister, Nadine.

Charlie loved music. Some of his favorite times were those spent with friends and family. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are his sisters and brothers, Nadine Brinker, Delores (Paul) Melton, Robin Weber, Kim Foiles, Patrick (Phyllis) Myetich, and Emiel "Mike" (Denise) Fluegel; and many nieces and nephews and their families.

Charlie was preceded in death by his mother, Justina, and sister, Mary Fluegel.
