Graveside services for Charles J. Sullivan, 74, of East Moline, IL, will be Thursday, June 2 at the National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Mr. Sullivan died Monday, May 23, 2011 at his home. Any one wishing to attend needs to be at the Van Hoe Funeral Home by 8:30 AM on Thursday, June 2. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family. Charles was born October 31, 1936 in Monroe County, WI, the son of Charles E. and Monica A. Dzekunskas Sullivan. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. He married Elaine Qualls June 16, 1961 in Moline, IL. He later married Mary L. Bird September 26, 1970 in Rock Island, IL. Survivors include his daughters, Sharon (Clifford) Huls of Carthage, IL, Mary (Joe) Smith, Keokuk, IA, Kelli Jean Prunty of Moline, Denise (Thomas) Reedy of Moline; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Madonna (Thomas) Turpel of Davenport, IA, Patricia (Gary) Clements of Coal Valley, Barbara (Dale) Graham of East Moline, Carlene (Bob) Graham of Colona, IL; brothers, David Sullivan (Rodney Small) of East Moline, Mike Sullivan of Rock Island.
