Funeral services for Charles R. Watret, 78, of Hampton, IL, will be 11:00 am Saturday at the Van Hoe Funeral Home Ltd., East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 2 hours prior at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hampton Township Cemetery, Hampton. Mr. Watret died Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at his home. Charles was born June 13, 1937, in Waverly, IL, the son of William and Stella Mae Watret. He married Rebecca McIntosh. She died August 29, 2008. He retired from the Case/NewHolland Plant, East Moline upon its closing. Charles enjoyed gardening and walking though the neighborhood talking with his neighbors. Survivors include his sons, Tony (Barbara) Watret, Cincinnati, OH, Barry Watret, El Passo, TX, and Paul Watret, Hampton, IL; 6 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; 1 great grandson; brother, John (Juanita) Watret, Waverly; sister-in-law, Ima Jean Watret, Virden, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, sister, Stella Mae Carrigan; brothers, Leonard Francis Watret and William Alexander Watret. Memorials may be made to the family.
